Dear Abby, How Can I Accelerate The Learning Curve?

Pauline Friedman died this week.  Most of us knew her as Abigal Van Buran or "Dear Abby".  As I thought about the impact she had on our culture I realized she was one of the first, if not the first, successful influential bloggers.

Why was she so popular?
  • She was dynamically relevant; she was always answering todays questions.
  • She didn't pull any punches but called it as she saw it.
  • She wasn't driven by "likes" or "dislikes"; she simply put it out there take it or leave it.
  • She was compelling because she either reinforced what we already knew or gave us a new twist on old problem.
Most of our learning comes from the pain of our own mistakes unless we're lucky enough to learn from someone else's mistakes.  Sharing our experiences and mistakes accelerates the learning of the whole; a rising tide floats all boats.  Is your life rich with experience?  Share it.  Accelerate the learning curve.
