Capability 3: Sharing New Knowledge throughout the Organization
When a problem is solved, high-velocity organizations leverage the newly gained knowledge by sharing it throughout the organization.
Not only do High-velocity organizations solve problems by solving root causes, they go another step and leverage the new knowledge gained by sharing it throughout the organization. They share the solution and the process of finding the solution. They share the "what" and the "how".
Low-velocity organizations might be good at containing the problem but by also containing the knowledge they rob the organization of learning from it.
The technology to implement this is available at such a low cost there is really no reason not to implement this. A simple wiki site with searchable pages would be a great place to start.
Go, do something remarkable. Take your organization one step closer to being a rabbit.
